Star Argentinean and Boca Juniors midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme has landed himself in hot water over a goal celebration.
The incident occurred after he had scored the winning goal in his side’s 2-1 win over Racing Club de Avellaneda.
Prior to the goal, he had been involved in an altercation with a spectator and when he scored the goal, he ran a full fifty metres to point his finger at that supporter.
In his report on the incident, public prosecutor Luis Cevasco said that he thought that Riquelme had violated two rules, namely the affecting of the progress of the match and the inciting of disorder.
However, Cevasco added that he still needed to make further investigations into the incident.
Riquelme on the other hand said that all he did was shout after his team had scored a goal.
Riquelme, if found guilty, could be fined or find himself in custody for up to ten days.
