Riquelme set for Hammers

(GSM) – West Ham United are reportedly on the verge of signing Boca Juniors playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme on a two-year deal.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at Boca Juniors as a number of other clubs are keen on him and the Hammers are hot favourites to do a deal according to agent Barry McIntosh.

The Brazilian side Flamengo are believed to have offered him a two-and-a-half year deal worth £45,000 a week but the player is now believed to be weighing up an offer from the Hammers and another unknown Premier League club.
