Brazil legend Rivaldo could decide to retire in December, according to Marca Brasil.
The 39-year-old reportedly told his friends that he planned to call it quits at the end of the current Brasileiro season.
The veteran forward joined Sao Paolo from Bunyodkor in January and featured in 34 games for the Brazilian giants, but only played full 90 minutes on two occasions.
His current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, but with Sao Paolo management unlikely to offer him an extension, Rivaldo could decide to retire in December.
Rivaldo has enjoyed a remarkable career, having played for Barcelona, Milan and Olympiakos among others, while winning the 2002 World Cup with Brazil.
