River Plate starlet linked with Serie A move

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport has learned that a number of Italy’s top sides are showing interest in River Plate midfielder Manuel Lanzini.

The 21-year-old has been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs since he was 17, but he has yet to make a switch to Europe.

However, having seriously raised his form this season, it appears Lanzini could be leaving River for a bigger club at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport, Lazio, Roma, Torino, Porto and Benfica are all showing interest in the talented footballer, who has been at the club since 2002.

Lanzini enjoyed a successful loan spell at Fluminense during the 2011/2012 season, and has since been playing regular first team football at Estadio Monumental.

Since returning to the club, the highly rated footballer has made a total of 54 league appearances for los Millonarios and went on to score 12 goals in the process.
