Arjen Robben says Bayern Munich are raring to go ahead of the 2012-13 Bundesliga campaign.
After winning their first two competitive games of the season, Robben said the team were confident they could push for the title.
The Bavarians beat rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Super Cup on August 12, before recording a 4-0 DFB-Pokal win over Jahn Regensburg on Monday to continue their fine start.
“We’ve made a good start: we’ve won the Super Cup and the first cup match. We’re ready for the Bundesliga now,” Robben said.
The Netherlands international then went on to voice his satisfaction with Monday’s cup win.
“Naturally we had to take the initiative, but Regensburg were really well organised. It was good to score before half-time, because it was easier after that. You always enjoy it when you succeed,” he said.
Bayern lock horns with Greuther Furth at the weekend in their Bundesliga opener.
