“I really would like to play on. But, and that is important, I don’t want to have another five months out.

“I have competed at the highest level throughout my career. I don’t know if it’s in me to be in a team competing for position six or eight.”

Those are the words of Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben, who has confirmed that he doesn’t want to retire from professional football. The Dutchman is set to leave Bayern at the end of the current season, and there have been a series of supposed offers that would keep him in the game for a while longer. He has already stated that he isn’t really interested in making the switch to China, meaning that if a big European club come in for him, there’s a good chance he’ll keep on going.

Even at his age, it still feels like he could get the job done for a top team.
