In an ominous warning for rivals, Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben says he is still some way from his best after returning from injury.
After struggling with his fitness for much of the season, the Dutch international has thrown off the shackles in recent matches and has scored six goals in his last three games.
Speaking before his most recent performance, where he scored a hat-trick in Bayern’s 6-0 thumping of Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga, Robben said he still feels as though he has some improvement left in him.
“We are playing for and with each other,” Robben said.
“Personally, I am not at my previous levels yet, I’m still not the old Arjen Robben. I can and must improve, but I am sure it will only get better from here.”
