Robben offered bumper deal to stay at Bayern

Bayern Munich chiefs are so desperate to keep hold of Arjen Robben that they have offered the Dutchman a chance to become the highest paid player in club’s history.

The Dutch winger is not entirely satisfied with his status at Alianz Arena and he even hinted that a summer exit would be a realistic possibility.

His father and agent has revealed that a number of Premier League sides are interested in Robben’s signature, but the Bavarians believe they can persuade the player into staying in Munich.

According to Daily Mail, the Bundesliga giants have offered the player a new long-term deal worth £170,000 per week, which would make Robben the highest paid player in club’s history.

The 28-year-old has just over a year left on his deal at Alianz Arena, meaning that he could be available on the cheap in the summer.

After struggling with injury in the first part of the season, the Netherlands international really raised his form of late, having scored 9 goals in last 5 games for club and country.
