Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has made it clear the club are desperate to keep Arjen Robben until the end of his career.
The Netherlands international has a contract with Bayern until 2015, and the German outfit have no intention of cashing in on him before his deal expires or letting him leave the club on a Bosman move.
“Arjen Robben is one of the best players ever to have worn the Bayern Munich jersey, and that’s why he will remain here forever,” Hoeness told AZ.
“He has put in some incredible performances for Bayern over the years. He single-handedly helped us to the next round in the Champions League quarter and semi-finals in 2010.”
Robben, 28, is recovering from injury and could make his comeback in Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Fortuna Duesseldorf.
