(GSM) – A goal eight minutes from the end of extra time by Arjen Robben sent Bayern Munich through to the German Cup final on Wednesday with a 1-0 victory at Schalke.
The two sides deadlocked for 90 minutes of normal time in the semi-final match at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena, and it appeared the match might need spot kicks.
But, in the 112th minute, Dutch winger Robben produced a phenomenal solo display to free himself for a shot beyond Manuel Neuer that proved to be the winner.
Bayern will now advance to the Cup final where they will face Werder Bremen, who beat Augsburg 2-0 on Tuesday.
