(GSM) – Tottenham’s Robbie Keane will not make his move to Celtic a permanent one, according to Spurs’ first-team coach Joe Jordan. Keane joined Celtic on January’s transfer deadline day after the Irishman fell in the pecking order at White Hart Lane.

Keane has settled well at Celtic Park and has already scored 8 goals for his new side. Celtic coach Tony Mowbray admitted Celtic are interested in Keane. However, Jordan has told Celtic that Keane is not for sale.

“Without a doubt [Keane will return], he’s the captain,” Jordan told the Sunday Herald.

“Harry [Redknapp] brought him back here and he was a major player in getting us out of trouble last season, not just on the pitch, but in the dressing room as well.

“He was an influential guy, he’s a leader, and there’s not many of them going about. It wasn’t just the player, it was the person we wanted.”
