It was announced in Buenos Aires on Monday that manager Roberto Saporiti of Premier League club Olimpo de Bahia Blanca had resigned.

The team has had a string of bad results and that was largely the reason as to why Saporiti had decided to quit.

That makes the number of managers who have resigned in the last ten weeks of the Premier League season an alarming six.

On Saturday Olimpo lost 3-1 in its home stadium to Independiente and fell to bottom of the league with five points and is close to falling to the second division.

Saporiti who is sixty nine years old will be replaced by Gustavo Echainz who will be in charge until the end of the championship.
