Bayer Leverkusen have sacked coach Robin Dutt following the 2-0 home defeat to Freiburg.
The club announced their decision this morning, while also saying that reserve team coach Sami Hyppia and Under-19 boss Sascha Lewandowski would lead the team for the remainder of the season.
Dutt’s assistant coaches Damir Buric and Marco Langner have also been relieved from their posts.
The club chiefs have reached a decision to sack Robin Dutt as could no longer tolerate club’s poor results, and the fourth league defeat in a row proved to be the last drop.
Robin Dutt arrived to Bay Arena at the start of the season from Freiburg as a replacement for Jupp Heynckes, who had joined Bayern Munich.
However, the 47-year-old never quite managed to get his side playing to their potential and he eventually lost the confidence of the club’s board of directors.
Bayer Leverkusen currently occupy 6th place in the Bundesliga standings, but they are just two points clear of 9th-placed Hannover.
