Robinho to hold press conference on Sunday

Brazilian forward Robinho continues his conflict with Real Madrid and has scheduled a press conference for Sunday.

The player’s manager, Wagner Ribeiro, announced today that Robinho will be speaking to the press as Madrid’s Eurobuilding hotel at 12pm local time.

Although it remains unclear what it is exactly that Robinho will discuss, it is likely that it only adds to the current conflict with Real Madrid. The striker has been wanting to leave the Spanish side, preferably for Chelsea.

Madrid refused to accept an offer from the English club however, although chairman Calderón did promise to respect the players’ wishes should he really want to leave, albeit by terminating the contract.

Robinho has been left out of Real Madrid’s squad for their first Liga match on Sunday.
