Robinho to stay at Real Madrid

Real Madrid forward, Robinho, has had a change of mind regarding a possible move Chelsea. It seemed in the past week that the player had become desperate to quit Santiago Bernabeu and was willing to do whatever it took.

Today, the story floating in The Telegraph is that the player is willing to consider staying in Spain as long as Real Madrid are willing to offer him a considerable pay-rise. The report states that Robinho would have his wages raised to the level of the club’s other stars – van Nisterlooy, Cannavaro and Raul.

Now with Robinho set to get his pay-rise and commit his future at the club, reports in Spain are starting to suggest that the Brazilian player used the interest from Chelsea to force Real Madrid into offering him a substantial pay-rise.
