(GSM) – Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi has blasted the rumours that his side would plan to throw Sunday’s game against Serie A leaders Internazionale to further damage the title hopes of city rivals Roma, who sit two points behind the Nerazzurri.

“Yes, this atmosphere is annoying us,” Rocchi told Sky Sport 24.

“I have been hearing too many things about us and I say that Lazio must be left alone!

“No one was giving us any attention before, but now they are talking too much and through misplaced arguments.

“We are professionals and take to the pitch to give our all in any game. It will be the same thing against Inter.”

The Biancocelesti are still fighting against relegation and the Lazio skipper added: “We are closing in on survival, but we must keep going.

“Inter are a great team, but we are going through a good period of form and coming off a run of positive results.”
