Brendan Rodgers believes the fact Swansea are safe from relegation in their debut is a ‘monumental achievement’.
The Swans’ captivating 4-4 home draw with relegated Wolves ensured the Welsh side will play another season in England’s top-flight.
Coined as ‘Swans-alona’ in recent months, Swansea have become renowned for their slick passing style, reminiscent of the Spanish giants.
But despite this, Rodgers still believes his side can improve going into next season’s Premier League campaign.
“(Staying up) is a monumental achievement,” Rodgers told TalkSport.
“I will think more over the next few days but for little Swansea City to have another season when the odds were against us, makes us really proud. I won’t forget that.”
Rodgers’ Swans have produced some spectacular performances since winning last season’s Championship play-off final, defeating the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal at home, while also pulling off shock draws against the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea.
“I think it also shows that we are disappointed when we draw with teams like Bolton and Wolves, who have been in the division for years,” he said.
“There is still an awful lot of improvement in us as a group.”
