The Metro understands that Brendan Rodgers will be handed a £60m summer transfer kitty after guiding Liverpool back into the Champions League.
The Merseyside club, who have been absent from Europe’s top competition for the past four years, are guaranteed to finish in the top three of the Premier League after amassing eighty points from thirty-five games.
Seven points from their final three games will also see them clinch a first league championship in twenty-four years, regardless of the results of their fellow challengers, and the Reds board are keen to keep them dining at the top table.
Rodgers has proved to be a shrewd operator in the transfer market during his time at Anfield so far, and could bring in up to three players when the window reopens in July.
They have been already been linked with moves for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and Borussia Dortmund defender Marcel Schmelzer.
