Rodgers set to join Red Bulls

Notts County striker Luke Rodgers is closing in on a move to Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls.

Notts County manager Steve Cotterill has confirmed that a deal is close to be done for the 28-year-old.

“We are in the throes of finalising things,” said Cotterill.

“It is not 100% yet. There are a few more details that need to be tied up. If it happens, he will still be involved on Tuesday and it will happen after then.”

Rodgers joined Notts County on a free transfer from Yeovil last summer.
