Rodrigo Caio set for Sao Paulo exit

Sao Paulo may be forced to cash in on star defender Rodrigo Caio at the earliest opportunity, Estadio Deportivo has learned.

The highly rated club are going through financial difficulty despite selling Ganso and Alan Kardec, meaning they are ready to entertain offers for the Brazil international.

Sevilla are reportedly interested in Rodrigo Caio, who won the Olympic gold with Brazil in the summer, but they could face stiff competition from a number of Serie A sides.

Napoli, Lazio and AC Milan are all looking at the Brazil international, so chances are that Sao Paulo will be looking to sell to the highest bidder.

Rodrigo Caio is widely regarded as one of the most talented defenders in South Africa, while he can also operate as holding midfielder if needed.

The 23-year-old has so far only made one appearance for the senior Brazil side, but he was in the Selecao squad for the 2016 Copa America Centenario.
