Valencia C.F. are growing increasing nervous about the prospect of Rodrigo Moreno’s last-minute exit from the club, as that would leave them unable to find a suitable replacement before the closing of the transfer window in two weeks’ time, Marca reports.
It was previously reported that Rodrigo had told Valencia’s boss Marcelino he would be leaving for Atletico Madrid, but that deal is withdrawn for the time being. Marca claims a possible agreement is not dead yet, but rather that it depends on whether Atletico’s forward Angel Correa goes to AC Milan. At the same time Atletico would be willing to bring the Spaniard only if they can sell Correa, which means that before they can find a replacement for Rodrigo Valencia have to wait for the situation to untangle, which is naturally making them ill at ease.
Adding oil to the fire is the fact that there is disagreement at Valencia at board level, with owner Peter Lim and sporting director Mateu Alemany both pulling in different directions.
