A single goal in the second half was enough for Besiktas to earn a 1-0 win over Denizlispor on Saturday.

After losing their last four matches, two in the Süper Lig and two in the Champions League, pressure began to mount on Besiktas and manager Mustafa Denizli.

But ironically, it was the team from the town that gave Besiktas’ coach his last name, that would allow the Istanbul outfit to end this losing streak.

The only goal of the match, played at BJK Inönü stadium, came from Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Tabata in the 49th minute.

As a result, Besiktas climb to tenth place with a game in hand, while Denizlispor remain stuck in the relegation zone.
