According to a recent report from Marca, Real Madrid star James Rodriguez is said to have finally won over the support of Real manager Zinedine Zidane. He is set to be featured more over the course of the current season by Zidane, after a great deal of speculation over his future that was seemingly destined to end with him leaving the Bernabeu.

Now that he has his foot in the door the Colombian needs to prove that he has what it takes to compete at this level on a consistent basis, especially when you consider just how competitive it is in the race for starting positions at Real.

Rodriguez is coming off the back of a two year spell with Bayern Munich, with the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain previously being interested in the possibility of signing Rodriguez during the summer.

Now, though, it’s time for him to step up.
