According to a recent report from Sport Bild, James Rodriguez’s future is still uncertain with Bayern Munich not yet deciding whether or not they will sign him on a permanent basis. The Colombian superstar is currently on loan with the German giants, who have a £36 million option in his deal that they could take up if they want to. Jorge Mendes, his agent, wants to confirm James’ future prior to the end of the current season – but time is running out.
One thing that seems certain is that Rodriguez will not be returning to the Bernabeu to play for Real Madrid, but if that is indeed the case, it opens the door for a series of other top European clubs to challenge Bayern in the race for his signature.
It’s fine if the Bundesliga leaders haven’t yet made up their mind yet, but they have to prepare themselves for a war if that’s the case.
