According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, former Sunderland midfielder Jack Rodwell has bene offered to Italian side Roma as the club go in search of a short-term signing that will help them to recover from the many injuries they’ve sustained as of late within their squad. Valon Behrami is also believed to be on their radar, but with Rodwell looking for an opportunity to prove himself on a big stage once again, it seems as if Roma could go ahead and take a chance on him.
Either way there’s a long way to go before any potential deal becomes a reality, probably due to the hesitation on the part of Rodwell.
The 28 year old has been without a club since leaving Blackburn Rovers, which would obviously ensure that a move to Roma would be a massive step up in competition.
Either way, it’d be a risky move, but one that has some potential.
