English Championship league side Norwich on Wednesday sacked coach Glenn Roeder after just over a year in charge at Carrow Road.

The Canaries were sent crashing out of the FA Cup by Charlton late Tuesday and are currently only outside the league’s relegation zone by virtue of goal difference.

The former Newcastle and West Ham coach took over at Norwich in November 2007 and helped steer the club away from relegation last season.

However they have struggled this season and Roeder leaves along with first-team coaches Paul Stephenson and Adam Sadler.
