Liverpool have been linked with a cut-price move for Fenerbache defender Caner Erkin, according to the Daily Star.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his defensive options with first choice left-back Jose Enrique currently side-lined until February with a knee injury.
Jon Flanagan has been deputising in recent weeks, though he is still largely inexperienced at the top level.
At 25, Erkin has racked up well over two hundred senior appearances, and has won honours both in his native Turkey with Fenerbache and in Russia with CSKA Moscow while internationally he has twenty-three senior caps.
He also has an eye for goal, with eighteen strikes for club and country so far.

Liverpool bounced back from their weekend disappointment at Hull City in some style yesterday evening by thumping Norwich City 5-1 at Anfield.
The Reds are now priced at 12/1 to win their first league title in twenty-four years.
