Tom Rogic will enter negotiations with Celtic after a fee was agreed between the Scottish club and Central Coast.
The 20-year-old’s future has been the leading A-League transfer story, with English Premier League clubs Fulham, Queens Park Rangers and Reading having also held an interest in his signature.
But having joined Celtic on trial for their mid-season training camp in Spain, it now appears Rogic is destined for a move to Glasgow.
“Central Coast Mariners FC wish to officially advise that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Tomas Rogic to Celtic FC,” a club statement read.
“Rogic will now travel to Glasgow from Spain with ‘The Bhoys’, and will discuss personal terms with the Scottish giants over the coming days.”
The move is still subject to personal terms between Celtic and Rogic, with the fledgling Australia international expected to cost around AU$600,000.
