According to a recent report from ESPN, Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has reached a verbal agreement to sign for Boca Juniors.
The Argentine clearly hasn’t been featuring in the first team at Old Trafford very much in recent years with many believing a permanent move away was always going to be inevitable. From injuries to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer simply not putting much stock in him as a consistent first teamer, there are plenty of question marks still hanging over the head of this deal.
Rojo is only 30 years of age and could quite easily have a prosperous career ahead of him but it doesn’t look like it’s going to come in the Premier League. Perhaps if he finds success with Boca then he could return somewhere down the road, but for now, the relationship between Manchester United and the man who they thought could once be the future of their defence is close to being over.
