According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, the future of defender Marcos Rojo at Manchester United appears to be in doubt.
United have no current plans to bring him back into the first team squad at Old Trafford after what many considered to be an unsuccessful loan with Estudiantes. He first made the jump over to Old Trafford back in 2014, and in that time, the 30-year-old has made more than 100 appearances for the Red Devils.
At this moment in time, though, it seems as if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has other plans for the defensive direction he wants to take the club in. There’s no denying the fact that Rojo has had a few moments of success with United, but he has been part of an era that has widely been viewed as a failure for the club.
It’s all about building for the future, and it doesn’t seem as if Rojo will be part of that.
