According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has been given some extra time off over the new year by the club as he edges closer to a possible move away during the January transfer window.
Rojo hasn’t exactly been a featured member of United’s first team this year, or even for the last few years, and the expectation has been that he’d leave for a long time now. He’s only started once in the Premier League this season and, in many ways, hasn’t been given much of a chance by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
With this time off he’ll be given the opportunity to fully weigh up his options and decide whether or not he wants to remain in England or test the waters elsewhere – which certainly seems to be the likeliest option at this point in time.
Either way, he probably won’t stay at Old Trafford for too much longer.
