According to a report from Daily Telegraph, Marcos Rojo looks set to be the first departure from Manchester United’s defence as they attempt to bolster their back line for the remainder of the season. The defensive situation at Old Trafford has been their biggest issue for quite some time now, but the question has always been what steps are going to be taken in order to fix it.
The Argentine defender Rojo, who turns 29 in March, has been at the club since 2014. In that time he’s fluctuated between being a key member of the first team, and being someone who is only called upon for cup matches and things of that nature.
Rojo made the jump over to English football back in 2014 from Sporting, in a move that also seemed to cement his place in the Argentina national team.
Rojo represented his country at the recent 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
