AS Roma have been heavily linked with moves for Premier League players, but in the end, they might go after one that was not previously mentioned. The Serie A outfit have signed two players on loan from the English top flight last summer, adding Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Arsenal and Chris Smalling from Manchester United to their squad, but it seems like they are not ready to pay big sums of money in order to sign both of them permanently.
But they might just do that with Chelsea winger Pedro Rodriguez. According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are really interested in the Spaniard, as he is getting closer to ending his time at Stamford Bridge. Former Barcelona man revealed in a recent interview that he will not be signing a new deal with the Blues and will therefore be leaving the club.
That is where Roma come in, as they see opportunity to add Pedro on a free transfer to Paulo Fonseca’s team. The Portuguese is eager to add the 32- year-old to his ranks later in the year.
