Roma and Fiorentina vying for Clement Grenier

French media outlet Canal + is reporting that Serie A sides AS Roma and Fiorentina are locked in the battle for Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier.

Once regarded one of Europe’s hottest prospects, the 25-year-old has struggled for form following a succession of injuries and he is expected to leave les Gones in the near future.

Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has made it clear that the club are willing to listen to offers for Grenier, and AS Roma and Fiorentina could be the first sides to submit official proposals.

The Giallorossi aim to reinforce the midfield department now that Alessandro Florenzi is unavailable through injury and Radja Nainggolan continues to be linked with a January exit.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, expect to stay without Milan Badelj and they apparently see Clement Grenier as a good alternative.

AS Roma face local rivals Lazio at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday afternoon, and they are priced at 11/8 to claim maximum points.
