Italian giants AS Roma and AC Milan are locked in the battle for Genoa hotshot Andrea Bertolacci, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The 24-year-old exploded onto the big stage this season, helping the Rossoblu all but secure European qualification, catching the eye of Italy’s top sides in the process.
AC Milan have reportedly made Bertolacci one of their primary targets and they are readying bid for the player’s services, but the Rossoneri will face stiff competition from Roma.
Namely, the Giallorossi still hold a 50% share in the talented midfielder and hope to purchase the remaining half for a fee of €7 million.
Andrea Bertolacci has been one of star performers at Stadio Luigi Ferraris this season, having managed 6 goals and 8 assists in 33 league outings.
He should be in the starting line-up when Genoa face Sassuolo on the final day of the season, with the Rossoblu available at 7/5 to emerge victorious.
