Roma general manager Franco Baldini reveals that David Pizarro could stay at Etihad after his loan deal ends at the end of the season.
The veteran midfielder arrived to Manchester City on loan from Roma after becoming disillusioned with life at Olimpico.
The Chilean enjoyed a bright start to his career in England and Manchester City officials are already thinking about making his transfer permanent.
Roma general manager Franco Baldini confirms the Giallorossi are interested in cashing in on the wantaway midfielder.
“We are pleased with the start he has made at Manchester City”, Baldini told Chilean newspaper La Tercera.
“But it’s still too early to talk about his future. We have a good relationship with City and if they want him, it’s Pizarro’s decision and he will have to decide what he wants.”
However, the Roma official has moved to deny reports that the two clubs have already agreed on the transfer fee.
“There is still no agreement on the price that must be paid to take him.”
The 32-year-old midfielder enjoyed a very successful career at Roma after arriving to the club from Inter, but numerous injuries prevented him from holding on to a regular starting berth this season.
Pizarro was handed his Manchester City debut in the Europa League clash with Porto, and the Chilean managed to score a goal and set up another one after coming on as a late substitute for Sergio Aguero.
