Italian giants AS Roma have emerged as surprise favourites to land Paris Saint-Germain starlet Adrien Rabiot, reports L’Equipe.
The Giallorossi have been quite busy in the final stretch of the summer transfer window, cashing in on Mehdi Benatia while recruiting Kostas Manolas and Jose Holebas, and they seem ready to complete another transfer.
According to L’Equipe, Roma are close to agreeing a €5 million deal for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.
The youngster was believed on the verge of moving to North London with Arsenal and Tottenham keen, but the two clubs have since failed to make their interest concrete.
As a result, Roma seem to be closing in on one of world’s hottest prospects who already has plenty of first team experience.
Adrien Rabiot, who has another year on his contract at Parc des Princes, has so far amassed 44 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring 3 goals in the process, and he is currently a member of France Under-21 side.
