AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Fluminense midfielder Jean, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi are looking at a number of players as they plan to reinforce the squad for the upcoming season and one deal already seems close to completion.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma officials are in talks to sign Fluminense midfielder Jean Moreira.
The 26-year-old is owned by Sao Paulo, but is currently on loan at Fluminense, where he has largely impressed last season.
He was one of the key players in team’s title-winning season, having scored 2 goals in 35 league matches last term.
The player is not too keen on returning to Sao Paulo and it looks as though he will be moving to Europe instead.
Jean is one of the numerous players whose rights are owned by Sports Europe agency, the same company that has helped Leandro Castan, Ivan Piris and Marquinho arrive at Stadio Olimpico.
