Il Corriere dello Sport is reporting that AS Roma are wrapping up the deal to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City.
Despite having several bids rejected for the Algerian, the Giallorossi continued talks with the Premier League side and they are close to agreeing a transfer fee.
Mahrez will be offered a five-year deal worth €3 million per campaign, which is equal to what Mohamed Salah’s was earning at Stadio Olimpico.
The club officials are convinced they will complete the transfer in the coming days and they expect the Algerian to play his first game for AS Roma in a pre-season tournament in Spain on 10th August.
Mahrez, 26, enjoyed several very successful years at King Power Stadium, producing 35 goals and 25 assists in 138 competitive appearances.
