AS Roma have agreed a transfer fee with Hellas Verona for Argentine forward Juan Manuel Iturbe, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.
The Giallorossi were believed to be locked in the battle with Juventus for the player’s signature, but they then took full advantage of Antonio Conte’s shocking resignation in Turin.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Roma have agreed a €30 million transfer fee with Hellas Verona, and they are widely expected to complete the transfer by the end of the day.
Juan Manuel Iturbe in turn accepted a five-year contract worth €1.5 million per campaign and he is already in Rome ahead of undergoing medical examination.
Hellas Verona recently purchased his contract from FC Porto for €15 million, but they were always going to cash in on him during the summer transfer window.
Iturbe, 21, enjoyed a very successful loan spell with the Gialloblu, having managed 8 goals and 4 assists in 33 Serie A outings.
