AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Stuttgart centre-back Antonio Rudiger, Il Corriere dello Sport has learned.
The Giallorossi are in the market for a new central defender after Alessio Romagnoli completed a switch to AC Milan.
And the latest reports suggest that AS Roma are close to agreeing a €10 million transfer fee with Stuttgart for Antonio Rudiger.
The Germany international has shown a great deal of promise last season and he has already been linked with a number of top sides.
Rudiger is currently out through injury, but he should return into action in approximately four weeks.
Should they fail to lure the Germany starlet to Stadio Olimpico, Roma will make a move on Werder’s Jannik Vestergaard.
The Giallorossi face Verona on the road in the opening fixture of the new Serie A campaign and they can be backed at 10/11 to claim maximum points at Bentegodi.
