Italian giants AS Roma have edged closer to signing Brazilian defender Bruno Peres from Torino, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi see the 25-year-old as a perfect long-term replacement for compatriot Douglas Maicon and are working hard to lure him to Stadio Olimpico at the earliest opportunity.
According to the latest reports, Roma sporting director has already agreed personal terms with the defender’s agents, as Peres accepted a long-term deal worth €1 million per campaign that will triple his current wage.
The Giallorossi are prepared to offer around €8 million for the Brazilian and while Torino initially requested no less than €20 million, it is believed a transfer fee in the region of €10 million will soon be agreed.
Bruno Peres made the headlines by scoring a marvellous solo goal in the local derby against Juventus and having continued the rich vein of form, he is now set for a big club move.
