El Mundo Deportivo has suggested that AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund are locked in the battle for Atletico Madrid starlet Oliver Torres.
The 21-year-old midfielder proved his worth during a very successful loan spell with FC Porto, but he has failed to make the desired impact since returning to Vicente Calderon.
As a result, coach Diego Simeone is reportedly ready to consider another loan spell for the attacking midfielder and it looks as though Torres will have no shortage of offers in the final days of the January transfer window.
Namely, both AS Roma and Borussia Dortmund have set their sights on the Spain Under-21 international as they hope to reinforce their respective midfield areas.
Torres, who is still regarded one of Atletico Madrid’s hottest prospects, scored impressive 7 goals in 26 league outings for Porto last term, but he couldn’t find the net in 13 league appearances this season.
