AS Roma are considering a summer bid for Zenit defender Cristian Ansaldi, Italian daily newspaper Leggo has revealed.
The Giallorossi expect to stay without Lucas Digne when his loan spell comes to an end, and they are in the market for a new left-sided defender.
According to Leggo, AS Roma are considering a move for Cristian Ansaldi, the Argentine footballer who will be out of contract at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old joined Genoa on a season-long loan following a somewhat disappointing spell with Atletico Madrid, and he did well to get his career back on track in Italy.
Ansaldi went on to start 15 league matches, earning three yellow cards in the process, and he clearly did enough to catch the eye of the Giallorossi.
Having largely struggled during his time at Zenit, the left-back is almost certain to leave the club when his contract comes to an end in June.
