Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed that AS Roma are pondering a move for Nice forward Dario Cvitanich.
With Marco Borriello expected to leave before the transfer window closes, the Giallorossi are determined to add another striker to their ranks.
And while they have been linked with Alessandro Matri, Bafetimbi Gomis and Gonzalo Bergessio, Roma look set to turn to the cheaper alternative that is Dario Cvitanich.
The Argentine, who largely impressed playing for Nice last term, is hoping to leave les Aiglons and should be available for mere €5 million.
Cvitanich recently managed to get his career back on track and new boss Rudi Garcia believes he would be quite an asset at Stadio Olimpico.
The 29-year-old enjoyed by far the best season of his career last term, notching 19 goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances for Nice.
Roma officials have been quite busy over the last few days, with Adem Ljajic arriving from Fiorentina and Erik Lamela leaving for Tottenham.
