Italian giants AS Roma are stepping up their efforts to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Luiz Adriano, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi aim to lure the Brazilian to Stadio Olimpico in the winter transfer window and they have reportedly submitted a €10 million proposal for his services.
Seeing that Adriano’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season and that he has no plans to sign a new deal, this is likely to be a very tempting offer for Shakhtar.
Il Corriere dello Sport has learned that the forward is looking to leave Ukraine after eight years and he is excited at the prospect of joining AS Roma.
Luiz Adriano has proved an excellent signing for the Ukrainian giants, having bagged 72 goals in 154 league appearances.
The striker has been especially impressive in this year’s Champions League, netting 9 times in 5 group stage matches.
