Italian giants AS Roma are hot on the trail of Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches, according to Tuttosport.
With Leandro Castan set to miss at least few months of action, coach Rudi Garcia wants to add another central defender to the rotation, and the Romanian stopper appears to be his number one target.
Chiriches, 25, is no longer in the first team plans of Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino and could be available for some €7 million.
Meanwhile, Roma hope to sign the player on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy for €6 million.
However, it is important to note that the likes of Juventus, Borussia Dortmnd and Bayer Leverkusen are also keen on the Romania star.
AS Roma are locked in the battle with Juventus for the Serie A trophy, currently sitting three points behind the Bianconeri, and they can be backed at 5/2 to win outright.
