AS Roma are pondering a summer bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, reports Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini has followed the Switzerland international since he was at Basel, and it appears he is ready to step up his interest and try to add him to the ranks at Stadio Olimpico.
Roma have already signed Seydou Keita and Ashley Cole, and they are now thinking about attacking reinforcements.
Shaqiri has made it clear that he wants to quit Bayern in search of first team football and it is believed he will be available for some €20 million.
The 22-year-old only featured in 17 Bundesliga matches last term, but still managed to score 6 goals.
He has since impressed for Switzerland at the 2014 World Cup, scoring a hat-trick against Honduras before causing all sorts of problems to Argentina defenders in the Last 16 stage clash.
