Roma eyeing Younes Belhanda
Tuttosport has learned that AS Roma are hot on the trail of Dynamo Kiev midfielder Younes Belhanda.
Signing a quality midfielder is the priority for Giallorossi after Kevin Strootman picked up a serious injury, and they have looked at a number of high-profile footballers.
According to Tuttosport, Dynamo Kiev star Younes Belhanda is the latest player on their wish list.
The Moroccan surprised everyone when he left Montpellier for Ukraine despite interest from Europe’s top clubs, and he seems to have lived to regret the decision.
In the wake of latest developments in the country, the 24-year-old revealed some two months ago that he is pondering a summer exit.
AS Roma appear ready to try and take advantage of the situation, but it remains to be seen whether they can find an agreement with Dynamo Kiev.
Alessandrini agrees Marseille switch
Rennes winger Romain Alessandrini is set to sign for Marseille during the day, La Provence has suggested.
OM have long been hot on the trail of the talented midfielder and it appears they have managed to reach an understanding with the league rivals.
Alessandrini is expected to undergo a medical and sign a long-term deal later today before he joins his new teammates for an afternoon training session.
Marseille officials expect the 25-year-old to be a worthy replacement for star player Matheiu Valbuena, who is widely tipped to leave this summer.
Alessandrini has been in fine form since joining Rennes from Clermont two years ago, having scored a total of 16 goals in 49 Ligue 1 appearances.
He has clashed with les Bretons chiefs after expressing his desire to join Marseille and seems to have finally been granted his wish.
Udinese sign Cyril Thereau
Serie A outfit Udinese have announced the purchase of French attacker Cyril Thereau from Chievo Verona on their official website.
The 31-year-old has signed a four-year deal with Zebrette after snubbing interest from Atalanta and Torino.
Udinese have been very active in the summer transfer window, having already secured the signatures of Nabil Jaadi and Rodrigo Aguirre.
And with Chile star Charles Aranguiz set to return from a loan spell at Internacional, the Zebrette have high hopes ahead of the new campaign.
Cyril Thereau has spent last four years at Chievo having joined from Sporting Charleroi and has so far managed 26 goals in 124 Serie A fixtures.
He has been in very good form last season, notching 7 goals in 32 outings, which eventually led to him moving to Friuli.
