It is an intriguing transfer window so far in Italy. Serie A could be very interesting next season as many clubs are looking to strengthen and close the gap between themselves and Juventus. Now AS Roma are reportedly leading the race to sign Jordan Veretout from Fiorentina. The club from the capital wants to make good business this summer after Monchi’s departure from the position of sporting director and Viola’s midfielder is one of priorities.
AC Milan were recently mentioned as prime candidates to add him to their midfield, alongside the already signed Rade Krunic from Empoli and a potential signing of Ismael Bennacer from the same club. But Calciomercato are claiming Fiorentina prefer Roma’s cash offer that would total €25m. Milan previously offered €15m for the player, but with Lucas Biglia going the other way.
Calciomercato even say a deal between Roma and Fiorentina could be finalized in the next 48 hours if Milan do not improve their bid.
